The crown is said to be that worn by [[San Lukas]] when he was the '''King of [[Whiterock]]''', and some hagiographies of the [[Bastonian Pantheon | Bastonian Church]] state that the crown was wrought of electrum by [[San Heather]] and consecrated to its purpose by [[The Almighty]] herself.

Various stories ascribe differing - and, betimes, contradicting - powers upon the crown, though the general agreement is that the object is magical in its own right, above and beyond any divine or arcane powers the Monarch may happen to possess themselves.
