It is actually a relatively small region, with limited surface holdings in the forests south of [[Estburg]] in [[Bastonia]]. Beneath the surface, it extends somewhat further in greater [[Estmarch]], and there are secret roads through [[The Deep]] that join it to Great Siem.

Life in Karlikavajask is hard for Goblins, as the area is crowded, and both the surface and underground are perilous given the presence of the Men of [[Estmarch]] and the [[Clans of Magnus]]. The kingdom is reliant on support from its cousins in the south, but is readily given that support, given that the kingdom is materially rich and the effectiveness of Karlikavajask's scholar-spies means that the craftsmanship of the goblins in this region is unusually good.
