This Article Is A Stub
The Captain-General of Bastonia is a military position conferring absolute military authority to the holder, second only to the Bastonian Monarch. De jure, all chivalric orders and militias in the Kingdom are under the authority and command of the Captain General. In practice, a number of chivalric orders (and, particularly, militia levees) routinely ignore this provision, especially during wars of succession, where the authority of the Captain General would be legally dubious at best.
Some chivalric orders and other military organizations also use the title, usually for their most senior officer.
