Adamantium, or adamantite, is a peculiar metal, first refined and created by the dwarves of the Clans of Magnus at the fort of Khaz Belgirn, who by all accounts remain the only smiths capable of making the "true" adamantium, with the metal as it comes from other races being considered inferior. Adamantium is a white, glassy metal refined from diamond as its ore, and the processing for which takes many months. The smelting and forging of Adamantium is a highly ritualized process and the line between the "purely ornamental" and "thaumaturgically functional" portions of the ritual is blurred, which is part of what has lead to the metal's reputation as being inimitable elsewhere.
