The Green Knoll Purge was the culminating event of the most recent civilizing crusade of Bastonia, which turned much of the northern Lordless Lands into the new Frontier Counties. The event refers specifically to a battle near the end of that campaign between the armies of Bastonia and the Mighty Northern Horde of the Orcish Nation at the village of Green Knoll. In spite of a valiant defence by bands working under Lum Spear-Breaker, the humans ultimately won the day and sacked the village, razing it to the ground and scattering the survivors.

The event is best known for consolidating the current borders of the Frontier Counties and for leading to the cult that eventually sparked the divinity of Lum Spear-Breaker.
