Magister Idiodox's Registry of the Races is an often-reproduced fifteen volume set of books which was created over the run of two centuries, the final volumes released in ASM 1301. While the texts themselves are universally prefaced with admonitions to defer to the testimony of the subjects of the work, each volume comprises a study on a specific culture on Wisteria: the Atarlie Empire, the Carcolie, the Hearthlanders, each city of the former Petrenean Republic, the Bastonians, the Orcs, the Confederacy of Sages, the Clans of Magnus, the Bagharites and the illusive Pre-Baghar Culture, and the peoples of the Great Fen.

The works were compiled by a then-ancient Magister Idiodox, who at the time was in his ninth century of service as the Imperial Magister. The books have undergone continual revisions and updates, usually published each half-century. In the elvish-speaking world, as well as among the learned of Bastonia, they are considered the foundational texts of anthropology.
