The Redhands are an influential and secretive criminal enterprise, or Thieves' Guild, operating in and around the city of Sunport. They exert great political influence through their bribery and extortion of city officials, rivalled in this respect only by the various mercantile guilds in the city. It is known that the Redhands engage in paid assassination, though their economic mainstay is lower-profile racketeering and extortion, with the threat of their lethality the lever by which they exert their crimes.

It is rumoured by many that the Redhands are, in whole or in part, a cult of Shalaevar Shamaris, with some of the most outlandish claims being that he (or an avatar) claims direct control over the guild leadership. The guild is structured in such a way that individual cells of redhands barely know each other, making it difficult, if not impossible, to round up the organization in full. As a result, its central facilities (if any) and the identities of its leaders are unknown.
