Thirdborn

The Thirdborn are large (often as tall as 8 metres) stone and iron golems who populate the Sealed Capital of Khaz Urdim, the Halls of the Dead at Khaz Urheim, and various parts of The Deeps. Though the secret of their creation is lost to most dwarves, they are known to have been the creation of Magnus Allfather, shortly after the birth of the Dwarven Pantheon (also known as the Firstborn)) and the dwarves themselves (being the Secondborn). They share a strong resemblance to the Dwarves and to the Gods who created them, and speak intelligently in Dwarven, though many would find their dialect and mannerisms dated, as even the hidebound dwarves are subject to linguistic evolution.

Thirdborn serve as stewards of the domains in which they rest, a form of magical guardian. In ages long past, High Kings of the Dwarves, after unsealing Khaz Urdim, would often add the Thirdborn to their armies.
