The Devils are a race of lawful-evil outsiders native to Hell, and the primary population of the same plane. A few powerful devils have risen to demi-godly status and enjoy the title Princes of Hell. Devils exist to punish mortals confined to their realm after death, and also exist in a complex social heiarchy of their own, occasionally jockying for position. Many human spellcasters make bargains with Devils for their service or for access to infernal magic.
