Bastion, First of His Name, King in Right of the Humans of Bastonia, of the House of Lukas was the first mortal ruler of Bastonia, directly coronated by San Lukas. In principle, all the current royal houses (and most of the nobility of Bastonia) claim to be descended from Bastion I or his siblings, and thereby the saints San Lukas and San Heather.
He ruled Whiterock and the lands loyal to it from his coronation in 67 AB/ASM 13 (see History) until his death in 89 AB/ASM 35, toward the conclusion of the Southern Expurgation. He died in battle near what is now the city of Val Verra, and the resulting conflict of succession was what is now known as the First Bastonian War of Succession.
