The Rubrics are one of the three written works that make up the core theology of the church of The Almighty, comprising roughly one dozen volumes depending on the work of the scribe who copied them. The Ruberics provide parables and moral truisms along with outright statements of religious proscription that all Bastonians are expected to follow, and narratives of the Battle of the First Wall and other important events in the Almighty's war against the Enemy.

The Rubrics also provide the theological basis for the Bastonian belief that they will be judged upon death and, depending on their deeds in life, find eternal life in Heaven or Hell.
