Chateausang

Chateausang is the proper name of the headquarters of the Order of the Obulus, located in the mountains somewhere near the city of Coldwater. It is rarely occupied-in-force, with the position only used for occasions of profane sacredness by the followers of San Meteo who call it home, and its position is unknown to those outside the order; it may in fact be a term of art rather than the particular name of a a particular holding, referring to the home or stronghold of one or more of its senior members.

Some accounts of the Chateausang exist from members of San Meteo's order who recanted their allegiance or wrote anonymous memoirs. The facility is purported to be built over a gateway to Hell which may or may not intersect with their patron's court there, as well as to support an extensive dungeon complex. There are no shortage of semi-fortified manor houses and chateaus in these mountains that fit the more general descriptions of the grounds themselves, meaning that nearby rivals like the Bavonian Order cannot simply lay siege.
