Southern Province

The Southern Province is an extensive rural province in the south-central Atarlie Empire, which extends from the southern bounds of the Province of the Lowland Meadows and the Atlassian Foothills, all the way to a garissoned border roughly around the lateral maridian of the Hearthlands. This is a remote, rolling territory, full of planes punctuated by ancient forests, and ruins, warrens, and barrows that predate the foundation of the empire. It is known by some as the Breadbasket of the Empire as the region is largely responsible for agricultural surplus throughout the empire.

The Prefect of the Southern Province holds court in the only major settlement of the entire province, the small city of Corran. However, the location of the province and its economic importance makes it an attractive prospect for prospective successors. The city of Corran is also home to the Imperial Legate to the Hearthlands.
