The Crown of San Lukas is both a physical artifact and a euphemistic reference to the office of the Bastonian Monarch, being the central piece of the crown jewels of Bastonia. The crown is said to be that worn by San Lukas when he was the King of Whiterock, and some hagiographies of the Bastonian Church state that the crown was wrought of electrum by San Heather and consecrated to its purpose by The Almighty herself.
Various stories ascribe differing - and, betimes, contradicting - powers upon the crown, though the general agreement is that the object is magical in its own right, above and beyond any divine or arcane powers the Monarch may happen to possess themselves.
The Crown remains one of the central objects required for coronation of a King, Queen, or Monarch of Whiterock (and indeed, all Bastonia), the ceremony for which must be carried out by the Archbishop of Whiterock
