The title of Antebishop of Whiterock is conferred in secret upon the politically senior follower of the Enemy, serving as a mortal antipode and counterpart to the Archbishop of Whiterock. An Antebishop, like all devoted followers of the Enemy, necessarily keeps his or her title a secret from all but trusted followers in the church of the Deceiver, and is often a person of high political office or economic standing.
It is said that the title is conferred by the Enemy directly; more likely, this is done through use of an intermediary miracle, like Commune.
