Archmage of the Lyceum Ars Magica

The title of Archmage of the Lyceum Ars Magica belongs properly to the chief instructor of the Lyceum Ars Magica in Heroka, a city in the Atarlie Empire. The title is one of great prestige, and one of only a few official titles in all Wisteria that includes the term Archmage. The position is usually held by an individual for life, or until voluntary retirement, whereupon the other full mages of the Lyceum gather to elect one of their number to the post.

Interestingly, several times throughout history, the title has been held concurrently with the title of Pontiff of Camus Inakas. Some view the title as a possible advantage to obtaining the title of Prefect of Heroka, a position of authority equivalent to a governorship.
