The Pashkharid

The Peashkharid' is a region of the former Petrenean Republic in what is now the south-central Shimmering Shore. Focused around the city of Pashkhara, the city-state have thrown overboard the ideals and traditions of the old republic, instead serving the somewhat corruptable Trade Princes of Pashkhara, a syndicate of wealthy merchants who have translated their wealth into military (and therefore political) power.

The city is a fertile spice-producing region which trades heavily with both Bastonia and the Atarlie Empire, bringing in enormous sums of wealth as a result. That wealth rarely trickles out of the city, or indeed the coffers of the trade princes, making the Pashkarid at once the most wealthy part of all of Wisteria and simultaneously a place of great poverty, especially as you travel further inland.
