Awakened Masters

The title of Awakened Master is conferred within the church of the Awakened One to the senior most members of the clergy, who are said to have fully realized and embodied the qualities and teachings of their divine patron, though not necessarily having become awakened in the divine sense themselves. Though the title forms neither an inclusive set of all awakened beings nor is it a guarantee of good conduct by the title holder, Awakened Masters are still the seniormost clerics and teachers within their schools, in both schools of the Awakened One's church.

There are, at any time, perhaps as many as a score of Awakened Masters. In practice, all are career clerics in monastic practice, and most are the heads of their respective temples.
