Rokean Vale

The Rokean Vale is a region of the former Petrenean Republic in what is now the south-east Shimmering Shore. The region is best understood as the valley of the river Rokea, ruled over by the city of the same name, all the way up to the river's headwaters, Lake Uboa.

The Rokean Vale is, ironically, one of the most integrated and egalitarian societies in all of Wisteria, but at the same time is, if not impoverished, then at least poor in trade terms. No major sea port exists at the mouth of the Rokea and the city of Rokea is too far up the river for deep-bellied trade galleons to navigate. The region is ruled by the head of a local thieves guild under the title of Tsar of Rokea, but the role is relatively light as the geography of the valley and the hazards outside of it make the city and its protectorates relatively easily defended.
