Lord of Rookpoint

The Lord of Rookpoint is the title of the eldest member of the family of the same name, who were historically the chiefs of the city of Rookpoint in the central shimmering shore. Once little more than a courtesy title, the title transformed into one of real authority after the Great Collapse. The Lord of Rookpoint now rules more or less absolutely over their city, charged with keeping that city safe and secure. Amazingly, even post collapse, the city is able to maintain its main economic activity, the exchange of messenger birds throughout the region, though the city itself is in an undeniable state of decline, calling into question the leadership of it.
