The Temple of the Deep is a domed bastion at the lowest level of the city of Khaz Duersterkrak, far beneath the surface of Wisteria in The Deeps. The temple is central to the worship of the Dwarven God of Divine Mysteries, Torserd Magnusson, said to have been established by him in order to seal the Rift of Duersterkrak, which lies beneath the temple and into which he is said to have thrown himself after contracting the disease Deepburn, for which there is no cure.
Followers of Torserd among the Dwarves are rare, but do exist. Many more make the pilgrimage to the temple in the course of their lives, including the clerics of other gods, given the close association with Torserd and the mysteries of divinity itself. The temple is also known for being a place of treatment for those who have contracted Deepburn, though even at this great temple, such care is usually palliative.
