Pass of the Tall Folk

The Pass of the Tall Folk is a narrow region of the Atlas Mountains controlled by the Clans of Magnus, one of its four administrative divisions, which lies between Northreach and the Valley of Giants. Several of the clans have fortresses along the eponymous pass, which provides an overland route between Estmarch and the Atarlie Empire. While rarely transited for that purpose (the sea route is considered faster and, for trade between men and elves, is more direct), the existence of the pass allows the dwarves with holdings in it to trade freely with both the Atarlie and the men of Bastonia. Most of the clans of Magnus have at least some presence in the valley pass.
