Thane of the Hunt

An official known as the Thane of the Hunt is the primate of the cult of Valut Magnusson, the Dwarven Pantheon's god of the hunt and the slaying of beasts, a title which is conferred during a miraculous communion to the dwarf chosen to fill it by Valut himself. They are the head of the chief temple of Valut in the city of Khaz Valaimcral. Very often, the Thane of the Hunt is also the Thane of Khaz Valaimcral, but in rare situations where this is not the case the title is still rated as equal to that of the Thane of any of the great clanholds. As such, the Thane of the Hunt is also technically an elligable candidate during the election of a High King of the Dwarves.
