Khaz Harrak, dwarven for the "Clan Fort of the Stalwart Bastion", is the clanhold capital for Clan Belinsson of the Clans of Magnus. The small city is relatively new in dwarven terms, and has a highly insular population, mostly of Dwarven outcasts who have joined the consolidated Clan Belinsson. Long after the time of their clanfather, Belin Magnusson, the clan established this holding as a holdout for all dwarves cast out of their other communities, but who could martial the strength of character needed to remain in community with other dwarves.

Geography

Harrak is overcrowded, with a small-city population built into a city dug out enough to perhaps have only been a large town. The Bastion, its primary gatehouse, sits on the eastern mouth of the Pass of the Tall Folk and permits easy trade over road to the elven tenement of Three Peak Dale.

Economy

Harrak is overcrowded, but it has a richness of experience that can lead to a richness in innovation. If Khaz Yurriduum is known outside the Clans for its trade in Runecrafting and Khaz Belgirn a highly-respected hallmark for dwarven traditional stone and metal work, Khaz Harrak is the source of the reputation of dwarven novelty. Its craftspeople turn out unique toys and baubles along with other gizmos, born out of the intermixing of the experiences their members had in their birth-clans.

Due to their position they trade heavily with the elves of the Atarlie Empire

Politics

Clan Belinsson rule from here, and as the city grows so to does their political influence and their respect among the other clans. The clan has established a permanent diplomatic mission via their emissaries in Tripolis.
