The Fawns or Fauns are a minor nation within the Confederacy of Sages. Such half-fay Fauns as exist have always been a minority among the tribes of the Confederacy, confining themselves to a few wooded areas near the Bastion Line. Since the expansion of the humans into the Frontier Counties, however, they have begun to experience a population boom. While technically descendants of the Satyr, Fauns have a unique culture all their own as a result of their changeling nature.

Fauns are known for occasionally defending non-Faun settlements such as those of the humans in secrets, or joining the Cervitaur in presenting themselves in times of crisis.
