Throwing Bones are an artifact of Orcish Shamanism and a practice of divination that uses the artifact. The bones are hexagonal tiles of tortoise shell that have been ritualistically prepared and enscribed with orcish runes on their inner sides. As part of the ritual, a handful of the tiles is taken at random by the shaman from their special pouch and the tiles are "thrown" or "cast" upon a surface. The resultant arrangement of the runes and their orientation is then interpreted as a form of augury.
